Glitschka Studios enjoys getting to know our clients. We take into consideration what type of personality and culture their business operates under, who their core audience is, and what message would best communicate with that audience. Our immersive approach towards understanding our clients industry allows us to then dream appropriately on their behalf so we can define a strategic solution that’ll make their business more successful.

Formerly known as “Australia Trampolines” our client was expanding their distribution and moving into the American market place and needed a new identity that would brand them globally. The inspiration for our brand mark design was derived from the circular shape of a trampoline, and the Vulcan god of smithery, and thus the new brand name “Vuly” was forged.

Leaving My Comfort Zone

At Glitschka Studios we love design. We thrive on the creative process and we love working with our clients to create captivating and effectual design that’ll make a difference to their bottom line. But that said, we certainly don’t think design or our industry for that matter is the most important thing in life. It’s not. A good life should inspire and facilitate design.

A friend of our studio Justin Ahrens has been doing just that through his work with “Life in Abundance” (LIA) and he invited us to be part of a team filming a documentary about the work LIA does in Nairobi, Kenya.

Our team will include a handful of creative people and we’ll be going into the Kiberia slums on the outskirts of Nairobi every day to shoot. We look forward to being part of this great work and leaving our comfort zones behind. You can support our efforts here.

Good Eats

Project: Brand Character Development

An entrepreneurial client contacted Glitschka Studios about developing a new approach to syndicated food journalism. We love to cook up original creative recipes so we put on our conceptual chef hats and got to work.

We first developed a character called “Bon Mangez.” The name is French, “Bon” meaning “Good” and “Mangez” meaning “Eat.” Bon is a snarky but fair food critic personality the public will enjoy, and serves as a syndicated platform that localized writers can license and use to do restaurant reviews for print or online.

We also designed a fun and unique approach to the rating system, mustaches. And the hierarchy follows the guidelines set forth by the Association of Food Journalists.

Non-Profit Identity

Glitschka Studios services aren’t limited to mere commerce driven businesses. We enjoy working with non-profits to provide design and marketing solutions that will help them reach their goals as well.

Tapestry Church is a progressive ministry that understands the culture they exist in and needed a new identity that would reflect their core principles better.

With each project we define an appropriate visual aesthetic that fits the client. Tapestry Church wanted to get away from the old stodgy visual past and move into a new clean and modern future with their identity. We accomplished this while still accurately reflecting their purpose statement derived from a Bible verse that says:

“I want you woven into a tapestry of love, in touch with everything there is to know of God.”

Our client was so happy with their new branding that they asked us to design another new identity for a separate ministry called “Kiddie Garden PreSchool” as well.

Project: TV Show Branding

Glitschka Studios was hired to create a custom brand logo for a new TV production called “Footnote” which dives deep into hot button topics in an honest and fresh way.

Since the show deals with issues that are controversial we created a custom logo type that would contrast these narratives with a clean, refined word mark. We developed two iterations of the primary brand, and secondary elements to be used as onscreen bug graphics during the broadcast.*

*Glitschka Studios also assisted in the initial art direction for the shows intro graphics as well.

Hey Monkey!

Smart design firms know how to leverage and manage creative skills in order to facilitate a projects success. Hey Monkey! is such a firm, so when they realized their own identity needed a refresh they called Glitschka Studios.

Hey Monkey! creates effective web design and development for their own clients and called upon us to create a new character based identity.

The name of the company is original so on the primary mark we utilizes custom hand lettering. We also felt it was important to make the brand system modular so Hey Monkey! could let it’s brand take on various moods in various context usages. The end result is a fun and effectual identity.

Resonance Ensemble is a new A cappella ensemble whose repertoire is graceful, beautiful, and unique. They needed an identity to match.

Glitschka Studios set out to create a mark that represented sound without relying on any pre-conceived visual that normally comes to mind when one thinks about music.

Sound waves radiate, so we played off of that to create a blossoming of the ensemble in song. The mark represents both the group of singers and the beautiful songs they radiate to their audience. It’s a bold, elegant, and sophisticated mark.

En Garde!

At Glitschka Studios we work with a wide range of clients. Some are large agencies, others are small businesses and in this case a youth fencing team in need a logo graphic for their team t-shirts.

Since most of the team are left handed they decided to pick a name that played off the word “Sinister” which means on the left, or left side. We elaborated on the concept through our logotype design by capitalizing on visual metaphors.

We like to approach design challenges, with a creative mind set that says “En Garde!”

At Glitschka Studios we enjoy working with all our clients, but when it comes to small business owners we have a passion in helping them succeed. We believe a strong, well conceived, and executed branding is the cornerstone for effective marketing no matter how small or large your company may be.

New Modern Science is a unique name for a unique business model. The owner Chris Hahn has a diverse range of creative skill sets he brings to the lab, whether it’s producing Music, Shooting Video, Developing Web, Directing Print, or Consulting Social Media.

New Modern Science manages and orchestrates teams of creatives to produce solutions for a broad range of clients. So we decided the tone of this brand should be vibrant and fun, but still sophisticated and clean.

Working in a vintage robot as the brands mascot was a nice bonus.

At Glitschka Studios we love to support non-profit organizations that server a larger purpose other than commercial. Rahzo.com facilitates non-profits by working with designers to create well designed content and donating 50% of all profits to non-profits.

We were asked to brew up a label design for one of their dark roasts. We came up with the name “Noir French Blend.” And after letting the French influence steep, we poured out a piping hot graphic solution.
